Watch: Randy Rainbow Takes on the 'Beauty and the Beast' Boycott with 'Kill the Release'
Gay YouTube personality Randy Rainbow took a break from blasting the Trump administration last weekend, and put the religious right in his crosshairs.
His latest song parody addresses the the moral outrage of Christian groups who staged a boycott of the Disney live-action remake of "Beauty and the Beast" over a brief "gay moment" involving a minor character.
Debuting as an OpEd for the online version of The New York Times titled "The Terrifying, Tolerance-Promoting 'Beauty and the Beast," Rainbow appears as villain Gaston from the classic tale, singing "Kill the Release" to the tune of the musical's "Kill the Beast."
"The New York Times asked for my thoughts on gay Beauty & the Beast and don't worry - I let them know. #NewYorkTimesExclusive #GAYston," Rainbow wrote on Facebook Saturday.
Despite the best efforts of anti-LGBT hate groups to derail the film, Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" broke all box office records this weekend with a $170 million domestic haul.
