Director Bryan Singer & Actress Michelle Clunie Have Child

X-Men director Bryan Singer and his bestie, Michelle Clunie, just announced the birth of their beautiful baby boy, sharing the news on Twitter Monday evening, shortly after the 45-year-old Clunie gave birth in Los Angeles.

"Bryan Singer and I would like to welcome our beautiful son Dashiell Julius William Clunie-Singer into the world," wrote Clunie on Twitter.

People reported that Singer, who identifies as bisexual, and actress Clunie, who has appeared on "Queer as Folk," "NCIS" and "Bones," announced in October that they were going to be parents.

"Thanks 4 good wishes 4 our baby," Singer, 49, tweeted after the pregnancy was confirmed. "FTR my bf Michelle Clunie is the mother, not a surrogate. I'm the father."

The Daily Mail added the pair intends to raise their child together, with Clunie's name on the birth certificate. A representative for the director noted that the pair has been trying to have a baby for the past two years.

Singer was reportedly "over the moon" about becoming a dad, with a source telling Radar: "He is paying for everything. When the UPS truck delivered all the baby things, one of Bryan's assistants came down fro his home to bring it all in."

The director reportedly bought a home a few doors down from his own for Clunie, and has been busy stocking it with everything the new mom will need for the baby.

Bryan and Michelle are long-term friends, and dated for five years. Although he was previously described as an openly gay man, he described himself as 'bisexual' in an interview last May. Of late, Singer has been embroiled in legal troubles over allegations that he had sex with underage male teens.
