Comedian Amber Ruffin, a longtime writer for "Late Night with Seth Meyers" and onetime host of her own talk show on Peacock, sent Pride out with a bang... of the closet door. The comic came out as queer in a June 30 Instagram post.

Ruffin jocularly anticipated that no one would find the news surprising.

"In what will come as a shock to exactly zero people, I'm using the last day of PRIDE to come out!" the comic posted, along with a photo of herself wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the word "Queer" in rainbow hues.

"Be proud of who you are, little babies! I know I am!" Ruffin went on to say, before adding a parting jibe: "And I can't wait to be discriminated against for a new reason!!

Fans and fellow celebrities flocked to the comments section to tender their congratulations on Ruffin's public embrace of authenticity and offer their support.

"Jokes Seth Can't Tell just got 33-50% gayer and I love it," one person posted, referring to a popular segment on "Late Night with Seth Meyers."

"Welcome baby love!! bathrooms are to the left, refreshments to the right, grab a chair," "Wicked" star Cynthia Erivo posted. "The DJ takes requests.❤️"

"SNL" writer and fellow out comic Bowen Yang, writing from his "Faye Dunaway" account, posted a string of hearts, while queer standup Wanda Sykes offered, "Happy Pride! 🌈❤️".

"Yay!!" "Queer Eye" star and fashion expert Tan France cheered. "Happy Pride, love!! I hope you feel so loved and supported! ❤️"

Comedian, occasional "RuPaul's Drag Race" judge, and "Squirrel Friends: The Official Rupaul's Drag Race Podcast" host Loni Love posted, "Congratulations Amber!!! Live your life out loud!!!!!!! Happy Pride!!" while "One Tree Hill" and "Chicago P.D." actor Sophia Bush, who came out as queer earlier this year, declared, "Welcome home Amber!! Our team just keeps getting hotter and smarter!!"
