Watch: Andy Cohen Praises Trainer as "Embottom" of America in Hilarious Flub

CNN allowed real booze for Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper, which might explain the hilarious blooper in which Cohen praised his trainer for being the "embottom" of America.
The tipsy fun started right away: Cohen told The New York Times how he "was a little edgy before the show, and I have to say the tequila shot at the beginning of the show really evened me out."
It also might have been what tied his tongue at a significant moment.
The program's second hour featured a costume contest of notable figures from the year, Variety recounted. The costumes represented "pygmy hippopotamus Moo Deng, viral French pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati and a sad Glasgow Oompa Loompa – which left Cooper in a fit of giggles," the entertainment news outlet detailed.
Cohen himself was echoed by his own trainer, a bit of costume chicanery that left Cohen trying to congratulate the shirtless, well-muscled trainer for being "the embodiment of the American dream," and getting it hilariously wrong.
"I so proud of you for everything you've become," Cohen gushed to the towering trainer, who stood a few inches taller than him. "Honestly, you're the embottom – embodiment of the American dream."
The slip set off a wave of laughter, with the trainer giving Cohen a one-armed hug. "I love it!" the trainer exclaimed.
Just to make sure viewers heard him correctly, Cohen turned back to the camera and insisted, "He is the embodiment of the American dream. He is!"
The duo stayed well lubricated as the evening continued. E! News noted that the two knocked back a shot as each hour counted down the last night of 2024.
Not that Cohen wasn't prepared. The "Watch What Happens Live" host told The New York Times that he brought "duffel full of tequila" because he was worried there wouldn't be enough to share around with all the show's guests and still be able to offer a tipple to the film crew when the new year arrived.
At other moments, a combination of pouring rain and Cooper's inability to wield his umbrella so as to keep Cohen dry led to some "microaggressons," the anchor told the Times.
"He's been very upset about my umbrella placements," Cooper said, adding that Cohen "was swatting at me, trying to reposition my elbow" during the broadcast.
Cohen summed up the bond between the two famous out besties, telling The Times, "I am glad that we have the relationship that we have that I can just be real and get mad at him while we're standing there in an interview."
