Dyke Night Hosts Second Saturdays with Karaoke in the Lounge

On Saturday, August 12, head to Machine Nightclub when Kristen Porter Presents their monthly Second Saturday party, this week introducing new Karaoke in the Lounge.

"Karaoke in the lounge of Second�Saturday�(August, September, October) is just one more way we strive to offer�a lil something extra like our�free tarot readings at Raven (October) or free airbrush tattoos at�Ink (November)," Porter told EDGE. "These added activities�engage LGBTQ folks who may not�be interested in the�typical nightclub dance-party that�we host in the other room."

The Lounge opens at 9 p.m., so "sit, sip, and sing," play some pool or air hockey, and enjoy the show with host Miranda Wright.

Said Porter, "Summer = Funner Karaoke was such a blast last month; check out the photos on our FB page! Host Miranda Wright is a bi-coastal queen who splits her time between Boston and San Diego. She has been part of Boston's nightlife for the past 10 years hosting events all around town."

The dance room opens at 10 p.m. with Resident DJ "Gay Jim." DJ Jim Clerkin brings over 15 years of DJ experience to Second Saturday. He was a member of the "Matty in the Morning Show" and Music Director for Kiss108. You won't stop moving to his seamless spinning of the best in current pop/dance, hip hop, and throwback favorites.

Enjoy our uber-talented gravity defying pole dancers, one of the largest dance floors in the city, three bars, state of the art lighting and sound system along with your fave queer staff and hundreds of friends new and old.
